We don't take it for granted when our partnerships and families tell Star Rock Ministries about the faith formation and spiritual growth kids experience at camp. As we continue to hear from our amazing donors this month, listen to Zac and Corrie Potter share why they are involved with SRM, all the way out in our growing community in Houston, TX.

"We have found that a really meaningful aspect of going to camp was how it opened our hearts to hearing what God was wanting to say to us. For us, going to camp meant getting to laugh and cry, listen and learn, respond and reflect. Camp allowed Corrie to be surrounded by people who had their priorities in the right place and made me want what they had. Through camp Zac found friends that became like family. He did not have a dad in his home but at camp, Godly men surrounded him and poured into his life. Most importantly, Zac met Jesus there. He learned what it meant to have a relationship with Jesus and it changed his life. Getting to send our kids to camp had a profound impact on their relationship with Christ.

Camp is so special to us and that's why we love Star Rock Ministries!  The opportunity for at-risk campers to get to go to camp gives them the chance to get away and to distance themselves from all of the distractions and different influences at home. They can be surrounded by people who care and invest in their lives which makes it easier to hear God’s voice and make decisions and connections that are life altering. Ultimately, our greatest value in supporting Star Rock Ministries is helping these kids come to know Jesus, experience forgiveness and experience new life. It is a joy to partner with Star Rock Ministries and we look forward to hearing how God continues to use camp to renew hearts."
